This Week's Events - May 14th -  May 20th 

 

The Brockton Police Department will, in partnership with the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security’s (EOPSS) Highway Safety Division (HSD), the State Police and over 120 other local departments, is launching a high-visibility seat belt enforcement mobilization called Click It or Ticket.  “Click It or Ticket” mobilization runs from May 14th through June 3rd.

 

The Office of Veterans’ Services is seeking volunteers to help place American flags on the graves of deceased veterans at cemeteries in Brockton in observance of Memorial Day.  Volunteers will flag graves at 13 cemeteries throughout the city beginning Monday, May 14th.  For more information about how to volunteer, call Veterans’ Services at (508) 580-7850 

 

The City of Brockton’s Haitian Independence celebration will take place Friday, May 18th from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.  A collaboration between the Mayor’s Office and South Shore Haitians United for Progress, Inc., the ceremony will include guest speakers, musical performances and a flag raising.
