D.W. Fields Park / Golf Course
Known as one of the treasures of the City of Brockton, D.W. Field Park has
truly been a place of recreation and enjoyment for the bustling
city for over 80 years. Now listed on the National Registry of Historic Places,
the 756 acre park was originally donated by Daniel Waldo Field in 1925. The park,
which was designed in part with the assistance of Frederick Law Olmsted, is basically
a series of several man-made waterways surrounded by forests of birch, pine, maple
and oak. There are over seven miles of quiet paths and roads winding through the
lush vegetation.
DW Field Park Association Information
The park also boasts the city's own municipal golf course.
This 18 hole par 70 course
meanders through the scenic beauty of the park, has a Tudor style clubhouse and
their own golf pro.
This course has gone through many renovations in the past few years, and will not
only challenge and entice you but also offers some of the most reasonable greens fees in the area.
